The Pernjak family has always been known for top quality authentic national sorts of cheese ("Paški sir" and "skuta") as well as lamb products. On the grounds of long lasting tradition of family business, in the year 1994 Dubravko Pernjak established a company MIH, which provides "Paški sir" as the most prominent product, but also produces various other cheeses.
To produce the top quality cheese we need top quality milk, which we get from our sheep, the authentic breed from island of Pag, called "Paške pramenke". Since our own resources are not enough for the amount of production expected from us, we also cooperate with numerous families on the island of Pag which are also producing quality sheep milk.
Beside sheep milk, MIH also buys cow milk from our subcontractors from Dalmatian Zagora, for the manufacturing of the other cheeses. Since the interest for our cheese has been growing rapidly during the past years, the need for widening our production capacities emerged. So, in 2006, MIH went into production in the brand new facility, build and equipped by the modern european standards.
Dairy now has 14 employees, its own vehicle fleet, and is in business with quality restaurants and shopping chains in Croatia. Guarantee of quality of our cheese is the heritage of Pernjak family, therefore our duty to our ancestors
